Seats
Most 3 wheel double buggies are designed as single pushchairs. Some models can be converted to accommodate the second seat using adapters. Some models allow you to add an extra board to older children who are able to walk, but still require assistance.

Take a look at the Joie Evalite Duo for an ultra-lightweight option that is perfect for urban streets. It's a breeze to move and comes with a large basket that has plenty of storage space. It can be used for twins beginning at birth and can accommodate two car seats, or a carrycot that has a seat. It can be used in 30 seating configurations, and includes a built-in ride-on for older kids who prefer to walk, and a 'cinema seating' mode which raises the back seat to improve visibility.
Alternately, the phil&teds dots is a brilliant single buggy from the beginning that can then easily adapt to take 2 (or 3!) Multiple configurations are possible. This is particularly helpful for parents with children in a car seat because the frame can be equipped with a wedgie to allow for optimal position, and also car seat adapters to various brands.
Suspension
The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine how easy you and your child/children are able to push it. A smooth ride is vital since babies can feel every bump in the road, especially when it's in rough terrain such as grass or unpaved paths. Some models have front tires that lock to aid in maneuvering and navigating obstacles like curbs.
Certain models come with air-filled tyres that are ideal for all-terrain riding, however they are prone to punctures. Make sure you have an extra set of tyres inside the trunk. Certain models come with foam or gel-filled tyres that are designed to cushion bumps. They are less likely to puncture, but they might cause discomfort for your child should you decide to jog.

Folding
A three-wheel double buggy can be folded up in a neat manner for storage.
